As mentioned earlier, the program is structured. You could start anywhere in it if you prefer, but our structure is like a map; it guides you to make the most of your journey through the sessions. Planning and structuring also build foundations to build upon; we recommend using the listening schedule provided.
Session 1 – Introduction - Running Time: 27:36 minutes
This track provides preparation for the program sessions to come. Like many of Michael's leading programs, you will need to take part - obvious, of course, but best said upfront.
This is the beginning. It is not a hypnotherapy session but provides a vital foundation to the confidence and self-esteem support program; it also allows you to become accustomed to the sound of Michael's voice, which will help with the following interlinking sessions. Do take time to follow the guidance and to answer questions as honestly as possible.
Michael also lays the program's foundation outlining your responsibility for yourself, mentions a life equation, recognizes options of individual choice, qualifies self-confidence, and asks you to reflect on your life journey.
It helps to identify and reinforce that we are constantly changing, growing, learning, and developing and that nothing has to stay the same, ever!
It further reinforces that we can choose to be the person we want. Not knowing how to be the person we want, does not mean we cannot be that person. It simply means we don't know how – Yet!
This is the program's foundation, which will help you gain the understanding that will help you live a happy, healthier, and more confident life.
Session 2 – Wanting to Change Running Time: 21:48 minutes
This first hypnotherapy session recognizes and reinforces the acknowledged decision of wanting to change. Those who have previously worked with Michael's programs will recognize the gentle tones, relaxing approach, and insight and understanding so often offered in his recordings.
For those new to Michael's work, find a safe, comfortable position, close your eyes, and do nothing but listen to Michael's voice.
This session encourages you to recognize that whatever your journey has been, you are a successful survivor and assists you in identifying your life skills, talents and gifts. In addition, the sessions in this program encourage a willingness to change and a desire to embrace new ideas and concepts to help you begin this gentle journey of change.
It is also a gentle aid to creating inner quiet and harmony, within which new thoughts, ideas, and considerations can be seeded, nurtured, and grown. They are starting to develop Confidence and Self Esteem and helping to push back barriers and limitations. Recognizing each moment is an end and a new beginning. We are looking at how we spend the precious 24 hours each day.
Session 3 – Rooms of Thought - Running Time: 13:56 minutes
This session uses imagery and suggestion to aid the release of self-sabotaging thoughts. We have all had some successes in life, some perhaps perceived to be greater than others, but we all have had times when we have accomplished good things and felt good about them.
A worry about being 'found out' often holds people back. For example, they falsely believe they do not have the right to be in their position in work, social life or life generally. This is usually through the thoughts and feelings felt when a lack of confidence and self-esteem is experienced, which are nonsense!
Many people put in a great deal of hard work and effort to achieve their best, and self-sabotaging thoughts should not be allowed to let all that hard work and effort go to waste.
This session uses creative imagery to release self-sabotaging thoughts and feelings while gently developing a reservoir of confidence.
Session 4 – Road to Recovery - Running Time: 18:02 minutes
Using relaxation, imagery and, in part, colour to bring inner comfort and calmness. This session encourages the slowing down of thoughts and deepening relaxation throughout the entire body.
Additionally, this session employs imagery to create a peaceful place to rest and listen. Aiding the learning, and relearning to let go of tensions and negative thought patterns.
Recognize your chosen road of recovery, by learning and relearning.
Bringing new interpretations to how you live life, and the importance of keeping focused.
Also remembering whatever we are going through, and whatever short-term problems cloud our thoughts. Always remember positive experiences, knowledge, and skills of life are retained.
As we get more robust, the clouds of doubt and negativity become lighter and less frequent.
Session 5 – Learning to be More - Running Time: 15:51 minutes
This session is essential to relearning the importance of inner calmness and relaxation, bringing harmony and balance, and slowing down internal time and thoughts. Encouraging the releasing and letting go of the day's cares, recognizing your ability to be and do more. Becoming more rested and relaxed allows a quiet time for you to embrace additional suggestions made to you during this time.
Session 6 – Bridge of Confidence - Running Time: 25:23 minutes
Defining confidence, reflecting on how we might have had it in the past, and then somehow it just drained away. This session builds understanding and recognizes how low. self-confidence impacts life—reminding you that confidence and self-esteem are fragile.
Early learning is acknowledged too. Recognizing, however, it was in earlier days; we have an excellent capacity for learning. And that includes new ways of thinking and feeling and relearning original behaviour.
Although developing confidence and self-esteem is a gentle, gradual, growing process, this programs structure aids this process.
Reinforced by imagery, the session proceeds to anchor in positive thoughts and suggestions. We are recognizing new learning and thinking and acknowledging the individual's resources. How learning can build a firm foundation to bridge the river of negativity that has prevented past sustainable progress.
Session 7 – Ripples Running Time: 26:18 minutes
Following Michael's soft voice, this session continues with letting go of the old self-limiting belief, using gentle imagery and suggestion. When used in Michael's practice, this has proven to be one of the sessions that patients comment upon most.
The imagery and reinforcing suggestions for releasing and letting go. The embracing of positive thoughts and suggestions all deepen positive reinforcement.
Acknowledging your own life story and history, and encouraging the relaxation to intensify further.
This calming, enjoyable session which many have reported made a real positive difference, one they will not forget. In addition helping letting go of the old false importance of the old negative thought patterns.
Session 8 – Self Encouragement - Running Time: 29:43 minutes
We all need encouragement, but sometimes the essential motivation comes from ourselves.
Recognizing you have a right to feel good, well, and have control over your life, and to feel important. Also to acknowledge your contribution to your life and future, all and more are important.
Suggested imagery, this session leads you to a place without distraction or interruption to build and deepen their inner resources.
A time for self-nurturing and reinforcing previous suggestions and looking forward positively.
Session 9 – Ambient Music Track - Running Time: 4:54 minutes
The final track provides a few minutes of ambient music to guide you to practise being quiet and still, reflecting on your day and achievements, and releasing those things that are no longer needed in your life. This final track can be enjoyed any time, a gentle, comforting way to find peace and calm.
Accompanying this program is a suggested listening schedule that should be followed as closely as possible.
It is a specific OPSIM (Ongoing progressive session induction method) listening protocol for this recording. Listening this way helps you make the most of this recording.
